Jen discovered her love of cake design by accident.  While pursuing her degree in science, she began baking and decorating cakes as a form of stress relief after long days of lecture, labs, and studying. 

 

What started out as a hobby quickly turned into Jen’s passion and after much deliberation, she left her career in the health sciences to further pursue cake design. Jen enrolled at the Bonnie Gordon College of Confectionary Arts and had the privilege of learning from many accomplished and talented cake artists.

 

Since beginning her new journey, Jen received the 2014 CakesDecor Wedding Cakes Award, featured as one of Weddingbells' Canada's Prettiest Cakes in 2016 and 2017, and her work has been featured in various blogs and magazines worldwide. Always a student at heart, Jen continues to hone her skills and regularly attends courses and workshops led by internationally recognized sugar artists.
